MANCHESTER GRADUATE FASHION SHOW '11

My collection was featured in the Manchester School of Art Graduate Fashion Show held at the Museum of Science and Industry, Manchester on June 22nd. The show proved to be a real success, and a complete sell out.

GRADUATE COLLECTION - BA TEXTILES DEGREE SHOW

Combining Celtic romanticism with the luxury and vibrancy of the Flapper style, my final collection is inspired by my emotional ties with Scotland and an admiration for intricate yet understated decoration found in Celtic knot work, juxtaposed with the silhouettes and mood of the 1920s. I have set out to create an Autumn/Winter catwalk collection that embodies my strong appreciation for timeless, beautifully crafted, luxury fashion garments, using a harmonious but sometimes unexpected relationship between colour, yarn, texture and pattern. Influenced by contemporary eveningwear, tribal fashion and medieval armour, I have used self-developed knitting techniques, combined with cables, macrame and dip-dyeing, to form my core fabrics, colour and design.
