WOOLMARK TEXTILE COMPETITION

Taking a small break from my Final Project, I have entered Bradford Textile Society's Woolmark knit design competition. The brief was to produce a fabric that used at least 60% wool yarn, and to exude the luxury of using pure wool, for either a fashion or interior context. I decided to create a sample of 100% wool, comprising of a chunky arran wool and fine merino wool. I created a layered structural fabric to replicate and enhance the sensory qualities of using wool, such as its soft touch, and natural beauty in both its thick and thin compositions.
